Easter Chick Garland

I saw this garland and instantly fell in love with it. It's so bright and cheerful that I had to give it a try.

I used large bright-colored plastic eggs, foam sheets, felt, pipe cleaners, pom poms, and baker's twine from Michael's.

First, I cut several orange and yellow pipe cleaners in half and threaded them through the holes in the bottom of the eggs to make legs. Then I curled each end around a pencil and folded it up to make the feet.

Next, I cut out wings from the foam sheets. Then I cut tiny diamond shapes from the felt. I used a Sharpie to draw eyes, then folded the felt diamonds in half to create a beak and hot glued in place.

Then I hot glued the wings in place on the back of the egg. I used a needle and thread attached to baker's twine to string the brightly colored pop poms to start the garland.

Finally, I hot glued the chicks to the string.
