Repurposed Canvas Wall Art

I have had this canvas painting for years and was starting to get a little tired of it. When looking through the One Kings Lane website I came across this painting and it ended up being the inspiration for this project.

The first step was the spray paint the entire canvas gold.

Next, I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut out sparrow silhouettes from black adhesive-backed vinyl.

The final step was to arrange the birds on the canvas after the paint was dry.

I really love how the texture of the previous painting shows through the paint. I hung this in my foyer along with the Target Inspired Wall Art I did last week. But I'm loving it so much that I'm thinking of moving it somewhere in the living room so that I can see it more often.
