One Kings Lane Inspired Bluebirds



When I was browsing through Michael's I came across these adorable little wooden birds. I didn't really have a plan for them but I knew I needed them. Then, as I was browsing through the One Kings Lane website I came across these bird figurines. BINGO!!!

This simple project only required a few materials:



Wooden Birds // Sponge Paint Brush // Acrylic Paint // Masking Tape



I didn't want to hang them so I unscrewed the hooks to remove the twine hangers.



Unlike the One Kings Lane version, I wanted to keep the legs and feet unpainted so I used masking tape to tape the legs off. 



I used a sponge brush to paint several coats of this gorgeous aqua color.


I'm thinking about adding a glossy coat to make them look a little more like the One Kings Lane version. But I really like how these turned out!

Love the birdies and the color is just glorious. I'm thinking they need some fuschia pink glass glitter though....maybe their pedi? You know me, I'm the freak about the bling!
