** I accidentally published Day 4 yesterday so here's Day 3 **
This day's challenge was a little easier for me because I have really been focusing lately on finding clothes that work well with my body type. Nicole recommended ignoring the generic classifications of apple, pear, hourglass, etc. and to focus more on balancing our shoulders and hips while accentuating our waist. This was helpful to me because I could never figure out which of those classifications I fit under.
I chose this gray and black leopard sheath dress because I felt like it made my shoulders and hips seem equal in width and, with the belt, accentuated the waist. Nicole suggested adding a larger, more colorful necklace to keep it from being too monochromatic. I also think a colorful scarf would look great with it.
This dress is perfect! It looks like it was made for you and the shoes just add to the perfection. I think finding the right proportions no matter what your shape is, is important. Great outfit!
ReplyDeleteThanks! It definitely has a been a journey for me (pun intended!!) to figure what looks best on my body. I think it has helped a lot that more retailer are carrying curvy styles and more designers are making them.
DeleteThis is such a great outfit! One can never go wrong with all dark tones :) Love the belt and neck you added to the outfit - really pulls everything together. You look amazing!
