Goldenrod and Bumble Bees

This is one of my favorite spots where I live. Although Goldenrod is killer for people with allergies, I think it's gorgeous. Kind of the epitome of Fall for me since our leaves change so late. And I like the rustic feel of the red gate. I thought it was the perfect backdrop for my mustard and black outfit.

My friend, Ashley, took my photos. The sun was shining right in my face so she let me borrow her sunglasses for the pictures. Now that I look at them, I'm kind of reminded of a bumble bee with my black and yellow outfit and the black, large-frame glasses.

Saturday Wishing

I'm spending the day with my family at a State Park today enjoying the (somewhat) cooler weather and beautiful scenery. As much as I love living in the South, I do get a little envious of the change in season that occurs in the more northern areas. Here are a few things I would love to experience:

Gorgeous Fall-colored scenes

Beautiful World : Beautiful Golden Fall. This would make a beautiful watercolor painting

Apple Picking

Apple picking and fresh-pressed cider! That is what we are headed to go find! :)

Wearing Layers

love the multi color pearl necklace. Need this in white, gold, and black pearls

Fall layers

I hope you all have a great weekend wherever you land. I will be enjoying my day in the sunshine wearing capris and flip-flops!

Inspired

Autumn's beauty. It will be quite a while before we see leaves changing in this part of the U.S. but until then, we have these gorgeous colors to enjoy.

The vintage-inspired jewelry and bold fashion of the season.

And of course, food! There's something about Fall that makes me want to bake.

Just a little tease

No, not me. The weather! We have been having some gloriously cooler weather here. 60s in the mornings, 80s in the afternoon. But it won't last. Pretty soon we'll be back in the 80s and 90s until what seems like Christmas Eve.
The cool weather is just a tease but it has put me in the mood for Fall. Apple Cinnamon scent for the house, an intense need to bake all kinds of pumpkin yumminess, and for wearing TIGHTS! I know its a little early but I figured I could balance it out with the cap sleeves of the dress. So I will enjoy the crispness in the air this week and steel myself for the mugginess I know will come later.
