Anthropologie Inspired Gold Lace Mirror

I am a bargain hunter. I may have mentioned that before once or twice... okay, A LOT! But it's something I take pride in.

I was browsing the Anthropologie site when I fell in love with this mirror. Isn't it beautiful? It's out of my decorating budget but never fear! I decided to make one myself.

I found this mirror candle plate at Hobby Lobby. It was regularly $9.99 but, thanks to a sale, I got it for $5. I found this gold metallic trim at JoAnn Fabrics for around $2.50 and bought 2 rolls bringing my grand total to $10 and some change. I made a $250 mirror for $10!!! Bargain Queen!

Anthropologie Inspired Tassel Necklace

One of my favorite time-killers is to browse websites like Anthropologie, Pottery Barn, and One Kings Lane looking for pieces that inspire me. I love the challenge of trying to re-create my favorites.

I found this Anthropologie necklace and loved it. I had just read a refresher tutorial on making tassels so I really wanted to try my hand at it.

Off to Michael's I went!!!!

Materials: Necklace Chain // Embroidery Thread //Cardboard Template // O-rings //Scissors

I was in the mood for fun Springy colors so I chose these primary brights.

I Fell in Love!

I innocently opened a link Anthropologie tweeted and the next thing I know, I'm in love. Their Paris Inspired Outfits really caught my eye. Especially the sequins, snakeskin shooties (on the model wearing jeans), emerald skirt, and colorful print dress below:

I'm pretty much guaranteed to love anything with sequins. And that emerald color? Amazing! Growing up I avoided wearing anything green because that's what redheads were "supposed" to wear. Now its one of my favorites! Those colors in the dress are just plain gorgeous.
What are you favorites from the collection?
